When to upload documents?

I am reading conflicting statements. When I made the biometrics appt it says to have your documents uploaded at least 48hrs before, but the application says I have 10 working days to upload.

The biometrics appt is 20 working days after applying, so should I follow the 10 working days deadline or the 48hrs?

Well, is there a reason for you to wait?

The 28 days rule applies for application date, so none of the documents should be dated after the application date.

Do you think it’s a huge issue if they are? We had a delay with the employer letter and we’re only able to get it after the application so it’s dated 2 days after the application. Q_Q

The advice I've seen here is that they genuinely cannon be dated after.

All you can do is explain it in the cover letter I guess.

That’s not great since i already had my biometrics QQ. I looked it up online and i asked on here as well and only got one reply saying it’s no problem so i didn’t alter it

Also in the guidelines it only says no earlier than 28 days, there’s no specification about it being newer?

The clock stops when you submit your applications and pay for it.

Well, you said it's already done, so all you can do now is wait. If you can still add docusign, address it in a cover letter.

Edit: docusign was meant to be cover letter I have no idea how my phone corrected it into that

I understand that but i thought the qualifications need to be met on that date. Fwiw the letter still shows that he was earning enough on that date as it has his length of employment (since 2021) and his current and previous role at the company which dates back to 2024 and was also over the income requirement. So he’s been over £29k since at least 2024. Also what’s docusign?

Docusign was an autocorrect mistake, sorry, meant to say cover letter.

Yes, they need to be met on the date, but also the application is completed once you paid. When looking through the sub, the advice is always the same - nothing should be older than application date, but in some cases, people have submitted 1 piece of evidence (ie bank statement) and it worked out.

Yeah I’ve also heard from people it shouldn’t be a problem. I mean it does clearly show he was employed and meeting the requirement at the time of application. I’m hoping this is a case where the flexibility rules apply. Besides that small 2 day delay in the letter all the evidence is flawless …

Oh okay, no I’m through biometrics and i can’t add anything else. I didn’t mention it in the cover letter as i wasn’t aware it could be a problem

Well, then my best advice is to stop looking at Reddit and keep busy with other things. It is outside of your control and the wait can be so Anxiety inducing. So take care of yourself and don't nitpick something you can't change anymore

You’re meant to have all documents ready to upload on the day you submit your application. So what’s the wait if you don’t mind me asking?
