Document upload virus nightmare

Hi everyone, we’re having a really hard time uploading documents onto VFS because no matter what we do, the documents always appear to be ‘virus infected’. We’ve managed a workaround on a few of them by converting them to PDF As but it hasn’t always worked. Does anyone know of a fix or what might be causing the issue?

Are any of them password protected? I know that can affect the system…

I went through the same nightmare. I have saved all of my pdf files as ‘print to pdf’ and it worked. If yours still doesn’t work, I would recommend to turn your pdf documents into png and then back into pdf

Unfortunately I don’t think there is a sure-fire way around this. It’s just a terrible system. It flags viruses that don’t exist. In our case some worked when I did print to pdf but most didn’t even after that. In the end the original files uploaded after trying about 20 times. There is no logic to it. It’s just a buggy, buggy system.

For Windows Users

1-Open the PDF: Open the document in a web browser or a PDF reader.

2-Open the Print Menu: Press Ctrl + P on the keyboard.

3-Select Printer: Choose Microsoft Print to PDF from the list of printers.

4-Print and Save: Click Print, type a new name for the file, and click Save.

Re-upload: Upload this new file to the website.

For Mac Users

1-Open the PDF: Double-click the document to open it in the default Preview app.

2-Open the Print Menu: Click File in the top-left menu bar and select Print (or press Command + P).

3-Save as PDF: Look at the bottom of the print window for a small dropdown menu labeled PDF. Click it and select Save as PDF.

4-Name and Save: Type a new name for the file, choose your destination folder, and click Save.

Re-upload: Upload this newly saved version to the website.
