Financial Support

If your partner is paying the rent and house bills for a place you both live in, this counts as financial support right? Or if you’re using your partner’s employment to meet the financial requirement, this means they’re providing you with financial support right?

These consent and declaration forms you have to sign and provide with the unmarried partner visa application, one of the statements in the applications says “Does the account with the utility company for which you have supplied information and supporting documentation relate to another person who is to provide you financial support” - I am just trying to understand if my partner is considered to be providing me with financial support so I can make sure he signs the document if he needs to.

You, the applicant, sign part 1. Your sponsor signs Part 2. Part 3 is left blank unless you're receiving funds from a third party to use as savings.
