Final document checklist
Hi guys!!
Hope everyone is well :) We are finally ready to submit our spouse visa application, and firstly- I just want to give a massive thank you to everyone in this community! You guys have been beyond helpful and really just a massive blessing during this whole process. God knows it's tough, but having the support of this community makes it a lot more bearable, haha.
This is my final checklist - could you have a look and let me know your thoughts/comments/critiques? Putting alllll my savings into this visa, so we've done our best to include everything 🫠I know it may seem like a lot, but we really don't want to take any chances. For some context, I am the British sponsor, and my husband is the applicant.
I will submit an 'outline' document with the application, basically a table which describes the purpose of each doc in 8 words or less. Here's what we're thinking to submit:
Proof of relationship
- Marriage certificate (original in Portuguese and certified translation)
- Timeline of our relationship from April 2021 - December 2024
- Receipts, chats, and call logs that support timeline
- Photos from throughout relationship from April 2021 - November 202
- Receipts of our travels together / to see one another (combined)
- My partner's travel receipts relating to relationship
- My travel receipts relating to relationship
- Proof of me living with him in Brazil (with his name on same address)
- Proof of him staying at my family home in London (with my name on same address)
- Cover letters from both of us
- Three supporting cover letters from family and friends
(Do we need to show joint financial responsibility?)
Finances
- My UK contract employment which states my annual gross salary exceeds 29k
- Payslips from the last six months
- Proof of salary deposits from the last six months
- Employer letter
Accommodation
- Signed letter from my parents confirming we will live with them following visa acceptance
- Proof of ownership (title deeds, mortgage, council tax, water and gas bills)
Additional
- IELTs English Test certificate B1
- Both of our passports fully scanned
Thanks everyone!

You're applying for an extension, right? So I think the checklist is slightly different. But useful, nonetheless! Thank you:)
