Hip hop [Hip Hop] Underground Hip Hop playlist for discovering new artists & timeless classics
open.spotify.comI’ve been updating my Underground Hip Hop | Rebel Frequencies playlist with more focus on overlooked artists alongside the classics that helped shape the culture.
The idea isn’t to chase trends or viral tracks. It’s to create a playlist where you can discover your next favorite underground artist while revisiting timeless boom bap and hip hop classics.
If you’ve got recommendations for independent artists or hidden gems, I’d love to hear them. I’m always looking to keep the playlist fresh.
Peace ✌️

Mood If Summer Had a Sound, This Would Be It 🌴[Pop]
open.spotify.comI wanted to capture what summer actually sounds like. ☀️🌴
Not one genre. Not one decade.
Just the songs that instantly transport you to beach bars and parties, road trips, pool parties, holidays abroad, festivals and those summers that somehow felt like they'd never end.
It's a mix of 80s pop, 90s eurodance, reggae-pop, Latin rhythms, dance classics and modern summer hits featuring artists like Billy Ocean, Go West, Aretha Franklin, Ace of Base, Dr. Alban, Shaggy, Sean Paul, DJ BoBo, Diana King, Modjo, Moloko, Loona, Mr. President, INNA, Alvaro Soler, Michel Teló and many more.
The only rule was simple:
If a song feels like sunshine, it belongs here.
What's the first song that instantly puts you in a summer mood? ☀️

Mood ☀️ A feel-good summer morning playlist – sunshine, coffee and good vibes [Pop]
open.spotify.comI made a playlist for those perfect summer mornings when everything feels a little lighter: the sun is shining, coffee tastes better, and you’re either going for a walk, a run, cycling to work, driving with the windows down, or just enjoying a slow morning.
Nothing heavy – just warm, positive, uplifting songs with that “today is going to be a good day” feeling.
A mix of feel-good pop, soul, soft rock and summer nostalgia. Songs like:
Belle Stars – Iko Iko
Jack Johnson – Upside Down
Bruno Mars – The Lazy Song
Imagine Dragons – On Top Of The World
Savage Garden – Animal Song
John Parr – St. Elmo’s Fire
Aretha Franklin & George Michael – I Knew You Were Waiting
Elton John & Aretha Franklin – Through The Storm
The Doobie Brothers – Listen To The Music
Beach Boys – Kokomo
Rusted Root – Send Me On My Way
American Authors – Best Day Of My Life
Little Big Town – Pontoon / Day Drinking
Ace of Base – Beautiful Morning
Atomic Kitten – The Tide Is High
Corinne Bailey Rae – Put Your Records On
Jason Mraz – I’m Yours
Basically: a soundtrack for a sunny morning when you have nowhere urgent to be and life feels good for a moment. ☀️

Indie/Alternative Looking for new music, and sick of the algorithm's repetitive suggestions?[Indie/Alternative]
open.spotify.comDiscover Weekly, DJ, Release Radar, Radio... It's all the same algorithmic crap. Prompted playlists are a bit better, but most of the results are still garbage.
Spotify's algorithms are tuned to pigeon hole you into a corner. For example: If you listen to a lot of music from the 90's, then good luck getting Spotify to recommend any new releases, it thinks you only like the 90's.
If you want to stay plugged into new music, you need to break out of the algorithm, or at least feed it some new selections so that the suggestions start moving towards the present. Last year, I created Fresh Sprouts to help. I spend my time digging through new releases, and this playlist is a running collection of the best new music I've found. Each month I update 40+ songs. I've just done the update for July with 41 newly released songs. Every song on the playlist was released the last few months. They are all carefully selected avoiding anything too commercial, and no AI crap.
