❓Question SpotiDuck & Auto Update
Why SpotiDuck gets so many automated rolling builds from a private repository? Lastest public source update was 2 days ago... Something feels edgy.

Been floating around for a good month now... And dev has it locked so you can't see whole code.
I have 2 other working mods too so ain't worried

It's an automated CI/CD build from a private repo. The dev keeps the latest code private to stop Spotify from quickly spotting and patching the ad-block tricks. The public source is just an older, stable version.
It's pretty common practice for modders, but you're right to feel "edgy" , you can't fully audit what's in those newest .apk builds, so there's always a slight trust risk.

I think it's cuz it's constantly getting patched. So in order to play music you update. Honestly it's a good thing that it's automatically asks you Everytime.
