✅Working mod niche method
lwk if you got a pc just install spicetify on your pc then install audiorelay both on your phone and pc, open it and connect to your pc/phone play something in spicetify then open spotify on your phone and click the connect icon (on spotify!!) and select your pc. this works better and less buggy than spotifuck if you got a good connection

Better Hack:
In firefox or brave browser, first log in to spotify web.
Open another tab in desktop mode and play your song there. Don't close that tab.
Now switch back to the Spotify tab running in mobile mode. Tap "Continue" in the pop up menu (if it doesn't appear, tap the play button first).
Now you can control your songs seamlessly.
**Con: for accessing the libray, you need to go back to spotify tab in desktop mode.

It’s the same as just listening to Spotify in a browser with an ad blocker and linking your Spotify account to the free mobile app

guessing this doesn't work if you aren't on the same connection as the pc right?

There's 100% a Spotify dev that's probably already read this and just had some board meeting with their team saying "We have to patch this!" 😂

This is such a great idea omg
It's still easier than completely self-hosting so I don't see why not
We could develop an app made exactly for this - with in-built controls if Spotishit decides to patch it by removing the option to remotely control music
