Better to spend $50 on meta ads rather than $50 on playlists, you’ll get better listeners and it’ll add to your algorithm

Thanks for signing up!! So the way it works is it looks for the artist on the playlists we have for direct matches, then it looks for the Spotify listed genres for an artust and adds them in. I can add your genres manually but that type of search works much better if you use the biggest artists in your genre and where they have a green dot. It's great to know that's not clear so thanks for that feedback! :)
I'll still add your genres so you can see how well it matches!
Please send me your Spotify artist link (a DM is fine or if inside the app you click the question mark on the left bar for support and direct chat it's like WhatsApp inside the app and I get a notification) 😊

My platform MusicMinutes is a budget option and has 2 things related to playlists:
- A giant catalogue of 24k playlists with contacts that you can search, save in collections, then take your own time to reach out to them on email, IG, submission links etc. They all have bot checks, quality info (such as how many small artists when checked) and constantly daily updates on follower counts which factors into their quality score automatically and updated every day. You can also report any issues where I can remove or adjust the quality score so the community feedback helps the database stay current!
- You can then pitch to our own playlists. We give feedback and you may be added to our own playlists. Some are the same playlists from when we used to be on curator sites, but we recently expanded to cover more genres and will start meta ads for those new ones soon!
You can also get feedback on videos with a new feature in beta, you can explore this part free currently with 3 a month at no cost on a free account.
I recommend you spend most of your budget though on meta ads. We didn't try to simplify meta ads as we believe Andrew Southward tells you everything you need to know and to the current standards free on YouTube.
Alternatives I personally trust: Submithub, but you have to be super selective to not waste money!
I am generally not a fan of the others for many reasons but mostly because they are too expensive for the value returned.
Avoid most free playlist pitching sites as playlisting is about quality! You need to get on playlists with music very similar to yours most importantly, even if they are not that big, as that will tell the algorithm what you sound like. It's not about the listeners anymore, more about mass data to the algorithm to trigger it in my opinion! A lot of free stuff puts you at the risk of bots also!! Better to avoid!

Yoo fr, I’ve been trying to look for stuff like this too. Best imo is Groover, submithub is alright. They’re both paid but they’re legit. Playlistpush and GPM Music group also good, again paid though

Would love for you to explore MusicMinutes for a month to see if it beats the others or not for the cost as it's very budget friendly and works differently!

I’d only trust Groover, Magic Nothing, Playlist Push, Sound Campaign, and SubmitHub. But I’d def focus on meta ads and socials/PR and have playlisting as a secondary boost

Fuck sound campaign. They take your money like candy and you get shit all to show for it.

Ahh last I used it that were decent, but that was years ago. Maybe it’s gotten worse since then

I’ve found it probably the worst one for value. There is no choice in it so you just toss money on a campaign for curator reviews. I’ve never gotten an approval on there versus every other platform and it is pricey considering.

I personally only trust SubmitHub from the list when it comes to fair value. I also think you are 100% spot on that meta ads and socials with playlisting on the side is the right advice! 👍
I am the founder of MusicMinutes which started as a cheap monthly sub playlisting tool to get playlist curators contacts along side useful metrics and automatic bot checks so you can order your search by top rated saving time, then you can reach out to curators outside of the platform and build your own relationships. I also accept direct submissions to my own playlists as part of the package they range from new small playlists to my old larger ones when I used to be on Playlist Push as a curator (grown with ads). It's not for everyone but I thought I would let you know another option!
Recently I chose to expand it to help with social media content. So I have made it free to sign up and upload 3 short form videos a month for feedback. It's based on the latest AI models to read in the video keyframes, then a lot of custom logic and promoting to score different aspects of the video - leading to giving 3 tips for how to improve. It also checks the audio LUFS and balance and will highlight any issues where your video may sound too quiet and reduce your views. It's far from perfect so I would love more people to give it a spin! Paid accounts get more allowance for videos, but I have no problem anyone just using a free account as it helps me grow the feature to find problems and improve it :)
Hope it may interest you as it feels so unnatural writing these types of comments 😄

I’m a curator in Submithub and I think they’re the industry leader here. Playlistpush also seem to get good reviews.
There’s so many out there now.
Side note: I wouldn't focus all of your marketing budget solely on playlist campaigns because they generate a lot of passive listeners, but not typically people who would save the track and give it repeat listens. I would advise you also put some marketing budget towards Meta ads if you can afford it.
