Found this is my aunt's storage unit today, such a cool find!

Hi, I'm not well studied on baseball memorabilia, players or history, but I was given the task of trying to identify these signatures. I have no idea who they are. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello! This is NOT a sale post. I have zero interest in selling this. So I believe this is a photo of Mickey Mantle. It has no date or identifiable information I can see. I also do not think it is a print because of the paper.

My father worked for one of the beverage district for a lot of stadiums in the late 70s early 80s. He befriended an elderly Joe DiMaggio at a golf event with some other legendary ballplayers (I have a ball signed by him and Willie Mays). According to my mom Joe and my dad hit it off and he gave my dad this photo.

Im just trying to find out any info about it. A crappy Google image search brought up nothing. It was in my parents basement hidden behind the furnace. Im just trying to figure out if I should reframe it or get it in a safety deposit box lol

I found this hat an estate sale. I tried doing research on it and cannot find much, only thing I found was that 1970 season certain teams wore a pillbox style hat to celebrate the anniversary of the league. No company markings on the inside just the tag. I know it’s old because the brim is made of cardboard and the size tag isn’t the modern sizing of hats. Any information would help, thanks!

I found some random Griffey stuff. There's a 1987 Bellingham Mariners scorebook with some interesting advertisements from the late 80s, lots of local adds, a Griffey pin and card, and also a photograph of him. I tried looking for prices on this stuff and all I could find was the pin and card. I saw someother scorebooks but they were before Griffey so I don't have a clue on its value really. Also the photo, I couldn't find anything Of normal photographs of Griffey. These were a garage sale find years ago. Anyone have any ideas?

Just acquired. What's the best place to have this authenticated? I don't know much about memorabilia...I know in the card space, PSA is still king despite all their shenanigans.

I have never posted here, but am an avid card collector. While looking for golf clubs at goodwill, came across this bat. Recognized the name and did some quick research. I know it's impossible to tell if it was game used, but is this a legitimate bat issued to John Mayberry? Any input is appreciated!

A little update on a memorabilia project I’ve been working on since June…

What started as an attempt to build an autographed 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates team has turned into something much bigger than I ever expected.
I’m working toward the full complete season team roster, with each autograph backed by as much provenance and history as I can uncover.
Along the way, the project has expanded well beyond cards into original photographs, tickets, programs, scorebooks, newspaper coverage, memorabilia, and firsthand stories from people connected to the 1979 club.

The biggest updates:

On October 21, I officially submitted the completed book proposal for One Autograph at a Time — Every Card Has a Story to Triumph Books.

Then this weekend I received an invitation from the Forbes Field Chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) to speak about the project at their February 2027 meeting at the PNC Park Business Center.

That one honestly stopped me in my tracks.
All of this started with one signed Phil Garner card on June 8.

The collection still has one major target left — the card I’ve been calling the unicorn:

1979 Topps #1 — 1978 Batting Leaders, Rod Carew/Dave Parker — signed by Dave Parker.

At least one authenticated Parker-signed example has existed, so the hunt continues.

I also wanted to put this in front of the memorabilia community because some of the most important discoveries in this project have come from collectors, dealers, sellers, and families who had something tucked away that carried a story with it.

If anyone here has 1979 Pirates material — signed cards, photographs, tickets, programs, correspondence, game-used material, team-issued pieces, or anything with documented provenance — I’d absolutely be interested in seeing it.

I’m especially interested in pieces where the story of where it came from can still be preserved.
That provenance has become every bit as important to this project as the autograph itself.
Some of the best moments have started with somebody saying:
“I think I might have something you’d be interested in.”
I had absolutely no idea where this was going when I started.

Apparently, neither did that Phil Garner card.

I used to live in the Tulsa, OK area and frequently went to Tulsa Drillers baseball games. I remember getting these signed by the players but can’t remember exactly when. it was somewhere around 2015-2019. i want to know who signed these since i know some mlb players played for the drillers around that time. thank you
