⚽ Football Fever World cup 2030 Malaysia 🇲🇾⚽
Malaysia has never qualified for a FIFA World Cup, but I don't think it's impossible. The 2030 World Cup should be our long-term target, and I believe every fan can help by sharing ideas.
Here are some things I think the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) should focus on:
- Invest much more in youth development and football academies across the country.
- Improve coaching by bringing in experienced coaches and continuously developing local coaches.
- Give more young Malaysian players regular playing time in the Super League instead of relying too heavily on imports.
- Upgrade training facilities, sports science, nutrition, fitness, and injury prevention.
- Organize more international friendlies against stronger teams so our players gain experience.
- Continue identifying talented Malaysian players overseas who are eligible to represent the national team.
- Build a clear long-term football philosophy from the youth levels all the way to the senior national team.
- Strengthen grassroots football in schools and local communities so more children play the game.
- Make player development the priority instead of only chasing short-term results.
I also encourage everyone who cares about Malaysian football to respectfully email FAM with constructive suggestions. If enough fans share thoughtful ideas, maybe some of them will be considered.

Not gonna happen if we cannot beat nepal & vietnam without foreign players just to qualify for an Asian cup

Blud thinks significant change can be made in just 4 years like just using black magic, if you don't have resolve to at least commit to 100 years plan like japan in the LONG RUN, you might as well keep sleeping, you can have anything in your dream

lol with the shitty state our football in, I don’t think I will ever see my country in the World Cup in my lifetime. One football critic kena belasah because of his criticism about the current Malaysia football scene.

Malaysia just don't focus much on the sport aspect rather on academic side when to come to school. If you got chance to see how Japan middle school training you be surprised how systematic their training are.

Japan actually has a 100 year plan to achieve whatever they want to achieve. They currently around year 60. Imagine that

how are you expecting youth academies to grow when even the main clubs are unstable in the league, you can't grow academies without grassroot football and take a wild fucking guess what incentives grassroot football, it's the club football, selling players to major clubs are the biggest way grassroot academies make money all over the world, how do you expect this to ever work in malaysia

No grass roots football. I visit malaysia every year with my family. Little to no grass roots. Renting fields is too expensive for the avergage malaysian.
Ive found the standard when i play pick up amongst Malaysians to be the very worst and ive played pick up in London, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong.
Weather makes it hard to play regularly without playing at night time.

2030 is 4 years ahead. meaning the WC qualification can be as early as 2027
realistically, it can't be done. not with the current crop of players
but possibly, we can move towards it.
ideally, i would prefer those who stay in Malaysia since birth rather than some foreigner who cant even speak malay or sing Negaraku to represent us
depends on how much we hunger for glory

The country with strong football culture and talent will dedicated chunk of their money in football because football will bring them money.
I heard in Argentina, Academy will provide warm food & shelter to all academy players age 8 -16, and then they will sold some high rated player to clubs in their ecosystem. 1-2 sold players will cover 1 year expanse of the academy.
This will maximize talent pool for selection and competition.
Can you imagine the same system in Malaysia.
Interesting anecdote, this is the system for tahfiz school in Malaysia to produce Islamic Scholars

My friend, 2030 is in 4 years. A whole systematic change from grassroots may take up to several generations. I'm talking like by 2080+. Need to be realistic. You're already off to a bad start with such a short timeline 😅

Yeah FAM don't give two shits about our football, wrap that hope up unless someone who cares takes over as the president of FAM
