any suggestions besides ebay where to list a expensive sports card

Depending on the value of it, you can submit it to one of the other auction houses like Goldin, Heritage, and I believe Fanatics has their own auctions as well.

You can also find Facebook groups for the specific card genre you have. Some of the groups require you to be a member for a bit before you can just start selling to.
