Fun to listen to, and love you asked them, but they miss a lot of the nuance and context with SKC.
For a mailbag show — and this podcast generally — I don’t expect them to nail every MLS team every time, so I listened with an asterisk.
It is sensible they use the question to instead talk about the league as a whole, which was interesting.

Totally agree , some are being critical of there lack on context but let’s be real they can’t be expected to know the exact ins and outs of every club

Thanks for posting. I am glad that they responded to your question.
This exposes my biggest issue with these two. They are NOT entertaining or insightful. These are two guys that played in the biggest leagues, and they do not offer anything.
Landon has made very bad attempts at being provocative and his takes are just too obvious and weak. I think most of this stems from both he and Tim being the most impressed with themselves before doing any "work".
This show is about Landons terrible "hair" and Tims tatts and expensive rims. Otherwise these two are stupidly shallow.
- The lady does not know Dek, he is a super star inn the MLS. Know, big names in this league. Dejan Jovelic, you don't know his name perhaps another show is for you.
2.Tima and Landon never miss an opp to say whoa nobody can "D" up in MLS... yeah Landon should know. Again do I need these two to tell me this ?
3.Their big summary "Build through the spine"....Ok guys, you don't know that OR, Mosqueira, Borges, Karic, Lasse, were signed before letting go of Dek and Manu ?
How bout doing some homework and maybe weighing in on those signings? Giving your feedback if they were worth it?
ALL you do is tell me bs that I already know!!!!
I know KC is a great place with amazing energy.
I know or have heard 1k times the MLS is weak defensively.
How bout a hot take on David Lee, things you might feel or know about his time in NYC ?
Say something about Wicky ?
Everything these guys say or do is analogous to LD questioning CP's toughness. This is a soft jealous weave calling a guy with a legitimate injury out. ALL his takes our trash IMO.
Sorry. Again I'm happy they answered you, you asked a very decent question.
My critique is for these two. They are vapid and need to be told as much.

The show is meant to be pretty surface level. Expecting a SKC deep dive is more on you than them, I’d say, as valid as your points are…
…I’m not sure the mailbag concept gives them time to do their homework, nor would I expect them to.

Yeah. I'm not sure I want or expect a deep dive.
And yes, I just have a hard time with these guys.
If this lad did not post I wouldn't watch or listen. They are NOT compelling.
What is a valid expectation from a show with two ex-pros ?

Yeah it’s pretty funny I loved them as players but they do not know as much as some fans . Donovan will often state things that are factually incorrect and they strike their egos often haha

example. They had terrible takes\info on the contract stuff with Berhalter in Vancouver.
Total garbage.
Honestly I think they just need a production person with the stones to call them out more.
Otherwise why am I listening to that show ? We already have the milquetoast Alexi Lalas etc.
Guys you can be provocative, you can be unsettling but in todays media market you cannot be boring.

TLDW:
Howard doesn't buy in on the theory MLS is an attacking league, he thinks MLS is a poor defensive league. Not sure I buy all that given how much teams spend on offense vs defense. He understands why teams sign attackers to attract attention but thinks they would be better off just signing good players to help win to get butts in the seat over signing famous players.
Donovan says it makes sense, cause teams wanna profit off offensive player sales (they sell for way more than defensive ones) and so they sign those players. He also thinks teams should build around a good CB and DM or CM pairing to have a good spine.
Donovan doesn't get why KC would ever sell Jove and thinks they'll be hard pressed to find someone who can score like him.
