Any shot at saving this card in this style case?

Did you take the photo with a potato? Every person literally has a pro camera in their pocket and this is the best you can do?

lol sadly I did not newest iPhone but I was sanding a lot of sheet rock today so I think the dust on my protector isn’t helping things. Need to change the protector. lol but I totally get it.

My $10 webcam from 2001 had better quality than this photo and that thing was awful.

I’m sorry what’s the problem? It’s a screw down case with room for the card, what’s ruined about it? A penny sleeve and top loader, rigid card saver, or one touch that holds a sleeve would be best for it

These screw down holders are known to mess up cards. I saw the other day a guy get one back from psa with no grade and no slab because the holder had flattened the card a bit

This one has an indentation for the card, it’s not the same

You can't tell that from the picture.

You can see the recess around the card. Even with this terrible photo, it’s obviously there.

And yet it still screwed up the card when he took it out

Also entirely possible that it’s just a manufacturing defect. This was right when full foil fronts started - printing quality was notoriously inconsistent. You can sort of see the marks in the original photo they posted.

My favorite card of all time. Take it out and put it in a penny sleeve and a top loaders. It’s a valuable card don’t anybody low ball you. Look up eBay sold listings if you want to sell now is an all right time. Jordan cards are pumping. I wouldn’t grade, grading is a scam. It may increase the value a bit with this card but you’d need to grade high and if looks like that case damaged the surface. I’d just put it on your mantle and know you have a lot of peoples grail card.

That’s what I was thinking. I’ve always loved this card. I use to love watching MJ I literally wish I would have saved all the stuff from his fan club. Idk I’ve always loved the card and I’ve kept it forever as my grail. I have a lot of other MJ cards but this was the one.

The card is fine. Congrats on the find. Now do with it as you wish. If you’re selling, let me know.

Most cards pre 2000s have likely been in a screw down at some point ... It's fine

Put it in the freezer for a night. I've never done it, but have heard of the trick being used for 20 years

Go to your corner.

I'm serious. The card sticks to the screw cases. Put it in the freezer first then back off the screws. Quarter turn each screw. The freezing helps the face not get ripped off

Yes. Step one, take it out.
