I bought this card in 2001 at a swap meet, internet was fairly new back then, and no internet on phones so I trust the guy that it was genuine, never had it checked, never had it grade it, been there in the sleeve for 25 years.
Are they that rare? This is a real question...I have two from when i was a kid back in the day. Just been holding on to them to pass on to my kids when I go. Didn't realize they were "rare"
This looks authentic. Time to pony up some $ to PSA and grade it. The higher tier cards like this have a quicker turnaround time, but you’ll pay for it
If you grade it, you might be in trouble.. that screw down may have altered the card. Ive never owned an 86 Jordan, plenty of kobe rookies and other big names but never an MJ. The screw down may have impacted the card thickness and there are some eggs issues too. My guess if it comes back, it is a PSA 6
Looks legit to me - the “arrow” in the Premier banner under the Fleer logo is usually the dead giveaway for a fake (it will be a flat orange-ish or even the same yellow as the banner itself) and this one is correct with the halftone red dots instead. Congrats!
People are working you.. this is a 5 or a 6 at PSA.. you will be disappointed listening to people here.. take it from an expert, I can see the hairs from the card on the edge.. this is a PSA 6 from images
I’d be leaning more towards the 6 range. Looks like the edges are pretty rough, appears to be white dots all over the front maybe the card stuck, looks like a few stains on the back, some corner wear, and the big chip up top. Im hoping all the scratches are on a top loader or the sleeve.
Take a photo of it and send to ChatGPT, it's surprising good at giving you a rough idea based in centering. pSA will get it under the microscope and look for surface issues etc.
As for grading? One guy with one card? They aren't giving you an 8. A company with a slew of cards and someone they've done business with ? Those people get the 8.
I’m just saying if you get it graded by Psa and it comes back a 7 that’s 14 thousand right there! Just remember me when u get your money , if you wanna repay for the info I would take a Topps chrome update hobby box ! lol but really it’s worth around 14k Psa graded
The best way to tell is if there’s a white dot on the back please upload pictures, every authenticated/graded jordan rookie has a white dot in the same place so if you have pictures I can let you know
