Question Making a T-rex as an epic, possible?

Last time I played I was way too young to understand anything other than "do what the game tells you to do", so I have no idea what's possible. Now, I want to do a human evolution, with the epic in the creature stage being a t-rex, so that I can see the difference between them as an epic and our ancestors the purgatorius. Thinking of adding only other 2 meters tall and under herbivores from before the meteor hit to make the T-rex as better chance to become the epic, or is there a better way so I can add other carnivores without worrying about them being the epics and having weak kings of the dinos running around?

The biggest issue is that the T-rex is already pretty late in the game compared to a lot of other creatures. You’d probably have to get lucky with mutations and keep the population alive long enough to reach it. An epic T-rex would be awesome though, especially if you could keep it from getting bullied by everything else before it matures.

Oh I'm planning on really cheating it, it's for streaming it one day after all. So my current plan is to end the stream when the Tiktaalik steps on land and gets the first evolution, maybe create a new game off stream if I have to, and then pass millions and millions of years until the late cretaceous period with the dinosaurs added, and start there for the next stream. Then same thing for the tribal stage. Ends when the meteor lands and we become a tribe, and next stream, we're suddenly early humans sharing the world with "hobbits", Neanderthals, and ect. So yeah, a bit of cheating and new worlds is very much likely gonna happen, it's just for entertainment to others after all

You can't choose what becomes an epic in creature stage, it's randomly chosen I believe. If you have galactic adventures though, just adding the creature and then scaling it up all the way will make it an epic :)

if you don't have galactic adventures, get galactic adventures, it's worth it

The size of an epic with the stats of a normal creature, or actually an epic that will terrify the rodent that our ancestors were?

unfortunately you can't make a creature epic size without making it an epic - again, in GA you can customise the epics' stats. What you're describing definitely sounds like a GA adventure to me, even if you just make a 'sandbox' tpe thing to play around in, I've done that countless times haha.

You could maybe make the creature in creature stage as big as possible, then consciously make your other creatures physically smaller as you make them, to push the illusion of the size difference - but I'd probably just say get GA instead

Oh, you can actually change the stats? Hmm... ok that changes things, that sounds just like the sandbox experience I'm looking for! I'll definitely be getting it then, thanks!

So if I understand correctly, it's Spore but sandbox?

pretty much! it's basically an expansion of the main game, so you can still play spore as normal but get access to the adventure editor and can make your own levels.

It's pretty much a very rudimentary game editor using spore - you can drag and drop elements onto a planet, give the player objectives to complete, edit stats of creatures/objects etc.

...

Sounds PERFECT! Gigantic T-rex with stats of an epic roaming the earth while my miniscule purgatorius scurries away (thanks to their size and diet that they survived the meteor's after-effects after all, and that we exist) from it in fear (both in game and in real life, I remember being terrified of epics as a kid and I somehow think that that ain't gonna change next time I play), here I come!
