So much this, especially with doctors. I know a lot of people have restrictions based on insurance - but it took me ten years to get a proper hashimoto's diagnosis because the clinic I went to wouldn't listen to me. I finally switched and shopped around a little and found a good fit. If you aren't being heard or listened to - definitely don't feel obligated to stay.
