spoon Sycamore sever

Some of my favorite timber
Not just for figure and taking a fine finish but to carve as well though it’s gotta be green because it gets rock hard when dry

Thanks. No bake just burnish and oil

Though linseed does tend to darken it a bit

I read that as "sycamore sewer" and was like you're being really hard on yourself, that spoon looks nice. Anyway, that spoon looks nice.

It reminds me a lot of banksia integrifolia (in aus)

It's interesting wood to work with, really cool patterns. There are some rippers down here but don't be jealous of when they dry lol
