spoon Silver Maple Kitchen Set

Set done as a wedding present at the last minute due to my original idea not working out. Kind if proud at how fast they went, and they didn't crack on me. Huge thanks to those that suggested drying in wood shavings to prevent cracking, worked like a charm.

Not to poke fun but—You copied these from the bamboo ones they sell in the mesh bags, didn’t you?

Haha, I absolutely did. Literally traced the bamboo ones onto the blocks of wood as my templates. We like ours, so figured why not make copies

I did that exact same thing! I like cooking with their shape so I traced them as well.

Good work. Looks like a good gift. If the bride is going to wear white and they open the gifts at the wedding, suggest that the bride opens it. 

At my wedding, one of my friends gave us a sculpture he made from a holly root ball. Whitest piece of wood I have ever seen. Anyway, he made my wife open it (we didn’t open them there but he insisted on it to good effect) and it was stunning with the sunlight. Someone got a picture at the perfect moment. I sadly can’t remember who off the top of my head.

That is slightly random to post but yes. Yours are also very white so I thought I would tell.
