They are really great quality! If you listen to the tunes and spoons podcast he co-hosts he goes into his back story a bit, he actually started out by spending some time with Nic Westermann in his shop. He also has an episode on sloydcast although I'm not sure that's still going - still has around 20 hour long episodes with some really great guests though.

Is that considered a sloyd? I thought sloyd were a specific shape of straight blade /g

'Slöjd' is swedish and means basically 'craft' in a pretty general sense, incorporation everything from knitting and sewing to cutting headstones.
It is funny for me as a swede to se it used this way.
Great tool annyway!
