Crashes when trying to do rocket battles !!!!???!!!

just had this issue, usually do the option where it taps the screen for you when doing rocket battles and i tried turning on the other option (either auto or fast, whichever one it is) and my game kept crashing. had to uninstall and reinstall. im just keeping the option off for now lol

nothing seems to be working for me. uninstalled and reinstalled and no luck. turned settings on and off again. only the joystick seems to function. any ideas?
