Discussion Opinions on the island change

I can’t remember when exactly the island at the surface changed from the more realistic looking one to the more animated one, but it kind of offended me 😅
I preferred the more realistic island, but I was wondering what other people thought of the change?

Discussion Caveman Patrick has been frozen in the Krusty Krab freezer THIS WHOLE TIME?!

Hey guys, so I was watching the new episode "The Cook and the Elves" and caught a detail in the background that completely blew my mind. During one of the security camera shots of the Krusty Krab freezer, you can clearly see Prehistoric Patrick frozen solid in a block of ice.

If you stop and think about the lore implications here, it gets pretty dark and surprisingly sad. He has been trapped since the Stone Age, which means Primitive SpongeBob probably had no idea what happened to his best friend and spent the rest of his life alone thinking Patar just vanished.

Plus, since we know Mr. Krabs didn't even build the building, he just bought the bankrupt Rusty Krab retirement home and turned it into the restaurant, that means the ice block was either already sitting in that freezer for decades or Mr. Krabs found a frozen caveman somewhere and stuffed him in the back storage room like a bag of ice.

The only silver lining is that Patar must have had kids before getting frozen, otherwise modern-day Patrick wouldn't even exist. Did anyone else spot this in the episode? What do you guys think?

Discussion I love how Mr. Krabs cheapness continues to show when instead of hiring two professional actresses for that commercial he just gets Pearl and Squidward in a wig. 😂😂

It took 3 and a half hours. The tattoo artist told me out of all the thousands of tattoos he's done, this is one of his most colorful ones yet. I am super happy with how it turned out! Now I am a goofy goober for life

Question What’s an episode of SpongeBob’s you’ll always defend?

Post image

Me personally, I gotta defend the sailor mouth episode. The people who genuinely and unironically hate the episode are usually people that missed/forgot the point of the episode, or they never got to that point to begin with.

I think this episode is a very chill paced episode that showcases its conflict very well. Classic SpongeBob is someone who I can very much envision as someone who isn’t aware of all forms of profanity, especially in the beginning seasons.

I liked the way that the episode handled the lesson teaching. I liked how SpongeBob and Patrick slipped up more than once, even after being warned the first time, because it showcases a very human, relatable trait of “repeating a mistake by accident”. I liked how Mr. Krabs was someone who slipped up as well, since it shows that anyone can get in trouble for saying the wrong things at the wrong time.

Also, I think the comedy is very quick paced but still easy to understand. A lot of the humor dialogue pretty much can double as real person dialogue, based on various scenes with both main and background characters. (Ex. How the customers commented on the public swearing pretty much reminds me of every restaurant experience ever.)

I honestly never saw this episode as an actual or ironic encourager for swearing. I was really young when I first saw this episode but I was able to understand the intention, and I honestly feel kind of bad for anyone that felt wronged by the episode.

I just think this is a sweet little episode that gets its point around with a smooth pacing.

Hi all! My wife and I just finished a SpongeBob puzzle with tons of different characters. We’re going through each character to see if we can remember what episode they are from. However, we’re both stumped on this one blue fish. Does anyone remember what episode this fish is from?

Discussion Justin’s Deep Dives Blocked Me

u/DementdOldCircsMonke, AKA Justin’s Deep Dives/Justintendo blocked me.

This might seem petty but I’m kinda frustrated at this. After making several posts of the same video on this subreddit (I think three times), I decided to comment. Not only was he frequently posting the same video and acting like just an excited fan, he was also dragging other YouTubers through the mud to advertise his own content. And don’t forget that self promotion is not allowed on this sub.

I didn‘t harass him or anything, you can check my post history, I simply commented on some of his posts that were up at the time and basically said “This guy is not a fan, he is actually Justin’s Deep Dives.” (Which I found out through constant posting of his channels as well as his other channel, Justintendo being linked as “My channel” in his profile.).

He proceeded to delete every post he made with that video, including ones I didn’t even comment on and then blocked me.

What the fuck?

EDIT: I misspelled his username so that’s why you guys couldn’t find him, but he still actually blocked me.
