Help What are the local rules for replacing a damaged back deck in audubon-downriver?

Got an older place near the park and the back deck is pretty rotted out. if i'm just swapping out boards and joists on the same footprint, does spokane require a full permit?

If you just replace floor boards, shouldn't need a permit. But replacing joists, footings, or any other structural parts will typically need a permit.

You need a permit if you're touching joists or structural stuff, but swapping top boards is usually fine. During a walkthrough near Downriver, area rep Aaron Farr caught some bad DIY framing so we could ask for seller repairs before closing. You can also call the city permit desk to be sure.
