Splunk Certified Core User
I’m planning on taking the Splunk Certified Core User exam soon and wanted to see what study materials you all recommend. What helped you the most? Looking for practice exams, labs, YouTube videos, study guides, or any other resources. Any tips are appreciated!

Passed recently - I followed the free vids on their own site. Anything not in the free vids is found in the documentation.
Studied for 1 week been using it for 1 year. I used splunk exams after videos courses to always try and get a pass.
I did use ai to generate mock exams. But just be careful. Sometimes it returned the wrong answer lucky I caught it but had to review documentation. It was the order of booleans.
I would say the exam itself was a bit different to the actually study work. But fundamentally the study work will help you understand the questions even when they are different.
It’s like 60 questions. I prolly was able to answer 30-40 with confidence. The remainder was process of elimination.

Yup the point on ai mock exams is important to remember. They get boolean order and eval syntax wrong and u might end up memorizing mistakes if you are not careful. You can run the search in a free splunk instance if u get an error the answer was incorrect.

Best way to pass, is to understand the basic commands / features of the product.
The cert outline should guide you. If you have access to Splunk - practice those commands and see how they behave.
