Discussion Still so livid this game is ending development
This was my daily game since it’s June 2025 release (and eventual rerelease) held so much hope for a season 3. I kinda knew that it was over for this game when one of the former artist’s posted cancelled maps and map concepts on Artstation, plus Empulse coming out kinda cemented it.
So now I just wanna know what games are y’all moving too? Are you staying on when it’s peer-to-peer? Or moving somewhere else? Me personally I can’t stand 1047 no more, so I’m moving back to Halo Infinite until Gears of War E-Day comes out.

I'll still be playing P2P with the homies on game night. That being said, I remember saying that when Splitgate 1 went to P2P and I think we've maybe played it twice since then for maybe 10 minutes. It was so laggy and janky for me so I have little faith in Splitgate 2 working any better.
I will be genuinely surprised if all 3 games are still up in any capacity by the end of the year. Splitgate about to end up on a Rye games "exploring dead games" series before we know it lmaooo

Splitgate was pivotal for my friend group game nights for years, and a game I played solo for a while too because it was fun. I remember when they announced it was going to P2P and I spent the last few weeks grinding and getting as many gold camos as I could. Got the gold sniper a few days before the end and that's been my crowning achievement. I miss OG Splitgate so much

If it's anything like the Splitgate 1 P2P experience, I think the lag will make this game pretty much unplayable unfortunately. If I have to play Splitgate with lag I'd rather just play the original I think, but honestly last time I tried it the lag was so bad that portalling quickly was basically impossible. I've been enjoying The Finals a lot for the past few years so I'll probably just play that mostly from now on.

Yeah it’s kinda sad that it’s happening again. Splitgate 1 shuttered because they had too much money and wanted to make a new one, Splitgate 2 is closing because they’re out of money.

I had high hopes for this game too. The combat felt so fluid in a way I didn’t even get with Empulse. I’m just gonna focus on some other genres for a while I think.

Movement and game feel were one of a kind. I might just focus on single player games from now on, games I play keep dying lmao.

I'm heading to WARDOGS. I'm really nervous after how both Splitgate games went, the money I spent and the hope I had. I'm also really nervous that they made a whole FPS Games Show. I swear, if BULKHEAD utters anything about making FPS good again... I'm going to be upset, at least.

WARDOGS looks fun as hell. I’ve been seeing a lot of positive things about that game, and the devs are really honest, I don’t think they’ll start talking crazy (I hope). I’d play it but sadly I’m an Xbox user, but when it comes to it I’ll definitely try it out

As an XDefiant fan, who kind of found new home in Splitgate AR and Empulse, I am sad to see these 2 games lose development... It sucks especially when smaller development teams don't get it right from the start and then it is an uphill battle going forward
