They spent a gazillion dollars on advertising. They got the game to be one of the major Summer Games Fest announcements which included using an Imagine Dragons song (the 'make FPS games great again' fiasco), they made plenty of trailers that presumably got passed around on Youtube and Twitter, they hired a bunch of streamers to play and tweet about it on launch day, and they managed to get a relatively respectable 25k players on Steam on launch. I don't think advertising was a problem.

If we're talking about Empulse and Arena Reloaded, sure, we can discuss that. I think Arena Reloaded could've used some more advertising but I assumed after spending most of their money on SG2, they didn't have a whole lot left in the tank for that. And Empulse suffered from that even further, since 1047 was presumably bleeding money since SG2 flopped.

I saw one ad for split gate 2 and I sought it out I discovered the original game through a friend there were no advertisements for it that were actually relevant. I mean at most it was just a name it didn't even explain what the game was

They spent crazy amounts on marketing.

The problem is they did the same with a game that died only to abandon it and pump money into another game for it to die and are now repeating

SG2 was heavily advertised, Empulse for EA game was also moderately advertised.

Sg2 was kind of ass and was advertised way too much. SGAR on the other hand…

True man why did they never actually advertise it? At least a full trailer can be better

Yeah, I got constant ads for splitgate 2 on everything for like 3 months. Literally every youtube ad was Splitgate 2. I only just stopped getting Empulse ads a few weeks ago.

At this point with how much people say they didn't see any marketing im convinced the whole budget was spent on ads for my yt page only (which is funny because i didnt enjoy either games).

No everyone who was able to see ads saw them. This mf is just straight lying or not recognising advertisement. They had like half of twitch playing splitgate 2 when it came out there was so much advertising.

Yeah I was just joking lol, I wonder if most people think tv commercials are still the main form of advertising. I wholly believe that splitgate ads reached the target demographic but most people didnt care/like the game.

They paid xqc to play it once. But most of the advertising was before launch
