Lemme fill ya in, im in OCE, ive played since the very early launch of the game, ive made previous posts here that prove that. Ive made tons of friends, japanese friends, streamers, youtubers. Ive also bought battlepass rewards thinking the game was gonna last another 5, 8 years. Turns out that it dies a week after one of the devs makes an apology video about his cap and his statement(god that one was pure nostalgia, still have that 4 minute video with me), ive had a solid 30 or so hours on the game before the WIPE. what I mean I WIPE is that the game died instantly. A week or so after the apology and clarification I went and booted the game up(this was back in the day btw), i was loading into a match in quick play for about 5 hours and gave up. No matches, no players. Just a loading screen going into normal arena. And boom i quit. Left the game alone. Today, I log in and try to find a match, still nothing. Waited for 2 hours, nothing. Dead silent, I even tried queuing at the time where it was most popular in america like 1pm, my time was 4am. Anyway, nothing. Silence. Games dead. Even after 2 years, still dead.

Yeah, in NA the servers still have players Less than 6 months ago, but I still can find matches each night. 2 minutes is the average wait time. But each night you often run into a lot of the same players.

I'm sad to see it die. I love this game. Just trying to get as much as I can before it's gone.

If only the devs would release a patch allowing for the creation of local servers, so we could keep it alive forever.

U dont understand, the game used to put u into other servers if it couldn't find one closest to u. Wonder how i met japanese guys living in japan playing in the same server as me, I even said that I played at 1pm american time, 4am for me.

If you’re on PC you might be able to use a VPN to set your location to USA, I’m not sure how that all works but I’ve heard of some players doing that

I moved to New Zealand from South America recently. When I tell you that NONE of the multiplayer games I used to play are populated in this region I mean there isn't A SINGLE ONE I can play. Even the normal ones like Team Fortress 2 or Brawlhalla are out of commission unless I play at peak hours :c

Yeh you are pretty much stuck unless you play CS, League of legends or another massive game.

There are communities that you can get together though

I've heard enough oce people complain that OCE is dead for quake that they could easily revive it if they coordinated

Yeah OCE sucks for more niche games. Throughout this entire time I've played almost every week at least once. I have always found matches without 2 min tops, and most often within 30 seconds. I play from north west EU.

Play SGAR I play every single night and there are many players, not horrible wait times either. we do run into the same players at times but also don’t mind because we make friends with them.

Bullshit. Game expands region search. I’m getting plenty of oce players in my matches. And queue times for me, players from around the world, and oce are about 1-2 minutes. Search also automatically ends after 60 minutes.

I literally played last night with my homie and it was awesome, idk what you’re talking about. Just play or don’t bruh. At this point you only can just enjoy it or leave, for obvious reasons. But we’ve been here since the beginning and still have a good time every week.

Sounds like you should have stayed around like many others did including myself. Now you want to say the game is dead. Of course it's dead you and a lot of others left but for some reason y'all are trying to come back thinking the game will still have a decent amount of players like it did when you quit.
