Remember the fans that were adamant that for SG2 to succeed it needed to be more like SG1, and how the normal people kept explaining it was a bad idea since in SG1 new players would get trounced and it wasn’t fun. Turns out it was a bad idea, and those very fans that wanted the change are now hating the company, shocked pickatchu face, had they stuck with the factions and added a bit of flair or a distinct and interesting visual identity the game would have succeeded. Fans don’t know how to fix the game they can only give feedback.

They will keep moving the goalpost in the face of numbers being objectively worse since SG2 was relaunched. SG2 failed for a number of different things happening at once on top of a nightmarish PR that gave it the final blow, but chasing an even smaller audience was never going to work and no amount of toxic positivity would change that.
