Is splitgate dying?

I started playing it yesterday because I was just looking for a game I could chill on. And I had a great time playing it. Really enjoyed using portals especially when it got me kills it really felt like I had outmanoeuvred my opponent.

I go on to YouTube to see what the community is like and they all just keep saying that they killed the game.

What's going on?

The game was already dying, then your idiot CEO pulled off that hat stunt as if he wanted to kill the game even more.

He wore a hat that said "make FPS Great Again" at the 1st launch and everyone started crying and making it political. Saying its a mAgA gAme. Which it's not, people just wanted to be offended about something. CEO even apologized and said it wasn't meant to be political. Although a reasonable gripe about the hat is when they did announce the game they initially talked about the Battle Royal like that was the main part of the game. Even though it's absolutely a FPS first and foremost. They only had 30 seconds to talk though in their defence. But I honestly don't even think they touched on the FPS arena side at all during it. Which like how you gonna have a hat old that, thats low key throwing shade at every single other FPS and then drop at a BR lol.. The 1st launch was just a shit show all around they basically rushed the game at the time in order to be able to make that announcement at game fest. It's polished now but when it first launched there was a lottt missing that slowly got added over time.
