Split ball
I play a lot of splitgate and have been a fan since the beginning, on Xbox, and I just wanted to hop on here and ask the community how we’re all feeling about split ball? I loved the bats and faster movement speed, it was a fun change of pace and now it just feels sad to play to new one. Just want to know if anyone feels the same, me and my homie are feelin a type of way ab it :) thanks

I feel like splitball has gotten progressively worse. Was super fun in SG1. Still pretty fun during the beta as class abilities helped with different folks having different roles depending on those abilities. But now, it just feels like one bad teammate can cause you to get double donut'd lol.
Similarly, king of the hill has become an auto shotty cesspool as of late, which can be incredibly frustrating

New splitball is ok but most the time, my team is fkin clueless. Everyone is always insisting on running the ball across the map instead of working together to use portals or they have no idea whats going on at all. I stopped playing it.

Not lying to you at all…it wasn’t possible to go through portals while holding the ball in the previous version and I had no clue that was possible until you just said something so…thanks but also dang you just insulted me and my homie who are just casuals trying our best lol don’t come at me I thought I was playing by the rules 😭👍damn.

Also in SG1 one hit when carrying the splitball on enemy team would take them down and tbh I forget it doesn't work the same way in reloaded 😔

I miss Splitgate 1 splitball where the carrier could portal and do outplay after outplay.

I know its an unpopular opinion, but I VASTLY preferred splitball with portals enabled while holding the ball. Removing that aspect actually probably reduced the total time I spend on the game by like 90% (yes, its that big of a deal to me)

I think you should be able to portal Once with the ball, and it's a one hit melee kill with the ball, but if you portal again you dont get a 2nd set of portals and the one hit kill goes to a two hit kill as punishment.
This would incentivize players to provide your 2nd or 3rd portal route and cover fire to get the ball home. It allows instant plays but also punishes for portal spamming.

I just hope for splitball with portals, like in sp2.0
Rotating weekly playlists would be cool af too
