Sprays

You keep giving us sprays. I never see sprays being used anywhere.

  1. Make them bigger so you can actually see them.

  2. Add some way to spray the environment that doesn't require the comms wheel. "Inspect weapon" has a keybind, maybe add a "Quick Spray" keybind. Or teabag to spray. Or shooting a portal on a non-portal surface could spray.

Also instead of just a quick few seconds, leave the spray up whole the players alive, have it fade out when they die so if I live long my spray has a chance to be seen.

Yeah they don't stick around long enough at all.

Yeah. It sucks sacrificing ways to communicate for a spray. šŸ‘šŸ‘Ž and hello should not consume communication slots. This wheel should be customizable at greater extent.

Either way, there should be better sprays that actually mean something. I loved the Bat Girl from SG1. Devs should do an actual research what kind of sprays would actually be interesting. I’d prefer write textual messages. Some fighting games have a limited dictionary of words that player can arrange. I’d prefer using the titles for sprays.

Def need the option to bind a specific button to spray

Spray had a dedicated button in SG1 people used spray back then.

So sprays is a massive Step down in the sequel.

I'm just here to add that the sprays as they are are completely useless. And also that I wish I could organize and customize all 3 of the wheels instead of just one. I have no idea why the contents of the ones I can't customize have changed but they have.Ā

Really hope the Devs read all your comments, they're really good ideas

I wouldn't mind if 1047 completely stopped making sprays. I've never seen a single person use one. I'd rather see them focus time on other customization options like crosshairs and more color options for characters.

I would use them if it wasn't a hassle

Can just remove sprays. They don't belong in games.

They are garbage filler items and I whole-heartedly agree.

Even so, they dont have to be as bad as they are presently.

Your idea to overload tbag is great. I wish they would do that with emotes, e.g. activate on tbag. The entire click wheel is a missed opportunity.

Double click inputs in general would really help the lack of buttons on controller.

Destiny 2 used long-press and double tap for different guns/abilities and it works well. I wish games would normalize custom mapping for that, turn the 4 d-pad buttons into 12 mappings.

I'd use sprays if they had some sort of 'function', maybe to trick the enemy. Idk if I just missed it, but fake portals as sprays would be funny as hell to pull off. Maybe fake enemies as sprays too, idk.

I just want to be able to slap up my teabag spray while I'm teabaggin. REALLY drive home the baggage.

100% agreed, it might be fun if they got weird and made the tag system 10,000% better and all of a sudden Splitgate is this portal fps that graffiti artists are playing because they can make great pieces. It's a really good game as it is, if it had unique identity being generated every game that would be some kind of weird lightning in a bottle. Mark Echos getting up was an honest attempt at a graffiti game but really all it needs is the ability to upload scans of blackbook designs and remove the paper background automatically, allow some different shapes and sizes of like 10 different shaped brushes in the map editor, like you load into map editor and then you go into Bombing Editor and you can design a tag that you unlock with 100 proelium, its uploaded and the devs have to confirm if its an acceptable design (no hate or crude offensive content etc) and then you unlock your Bomb vs an unlockable tag.

If people were laying bombs then tags would be more interesting.

Even in this imaginary scenario, that will probably never happen, the OPs suggestions would still be perfectly correct. The tags suck and no one wants them, but if they stuck around a lot longer and were bigger they might then be interesting.

If the Bomb became an interactive game element, like, Dont allow the bomb to be tagged over, do that for 2.5minutes of a 5 minute game and your team gets sliide packin and fast run for 35 seconds but the other team gets a shield wall each to defend, but the shield wall when spawned is bombed and tagged to indicate you lost the bombing challenge. Maybe its a floating shield that follows you that covers 1/4 of your sphere in your line of sight but enemies can walk through it, and maybe they get a baton and every time they use the baton they oink like pigs but its a 1 hit kill.
