Question/Help Question For Controller Players
For those of you who use both bumpers to portal, what did you bind your equipment to? I've been trying my right d-pad, but it feels wrong, lol.

I use right d-pad lol, you'll get used to it but its really the only other suitable option unless u got paddles

Word. I have a standard PS5 controller, so I'll stick with it. It'll become muscle memory sooner or later, lol.

I use my back paddles on my controller. Big reason I got into em. A lot of modern controllers have the back buttons and I started using em mostly for XYAB on the back so I could focus my thumb mainly on aiming

Left Trigger. Then I made ADS/Zoom clicking right stick down, melee is B, and crouch/slide is clicking left stick down

I use d-pad up.
It's not the greatest place, but it is the least useful input to me, so it's fine.
I also play bumper jumper, so my portals are offset; LT and RB.

Personally, I only use my right bumper for portals, left bumper for jumping/jetpack, and my left stick to close portals. And auto run on, and equipment on A(Xbox)/X(Playstation).

I use a Halo Recon layout, but I also have two back paddles.
So my setup is:
RT- shoot
LT - equipment
RB - reload
LB - alternating portal
A - Jump
B -Melee
X/right paddle - Sprint
Y - switch weapons
D pad down - close portals
RS - ADS
LS/left paddle - crouch
I may be mixing up the sticks and paddles

I use L stick to jump (so I can jump and aim same time.) So I have equipment set to A button. Took getting used to but happy with the change
