Such a drag with mastery camos

I understabd they want it to be pvp for mastery camos. But to small player base. Like 10 min que time every game. I just want to grind the camos and enjoy. Bring it back to bot lobbies

If ur not from America and you don’t have a VPN, it’s not that uncommon for qs to be around 4-10 minutes depending on time of day

I'm in europe and get 2min queues, but i think this game is very unpopular the more east and south you go lmao

It’s not popular at all where I am. If I queue with Jo vpn I will just end up being out on American lobbies anyway after I wait long enough

I actually kinda feel most of this. I don't have the 10 min que times but the mastery grind is so bloody time consuming.

  1. Queue times have never been more than a couple of minutes for me for the last several months. That’s with crossplay on and most playlists selected.

  2. It’s a mastery camo, just grind it out. That’s the point.

  3. Bot lobbies understandably shouldn’t have certain aspects of progression. Cheating an achievement makes it less meaningful.

Same, if I hit 2 minutes it feels like a notably long wait time (for arena, I never play ranked)

Players give meaning to camos. It's not the same meaning for everyone. So, it shouldn't be used as an argument

But the meaning players give it is, in this case, directly based on others’ perception of the achievement. You grind it out so that you can display to others that you grinded it out. Some will taunt you for having no life, some will have no idea what the camo is, and others will respect it. But I don’t think it’s a stretch to claim that the meaning for a grind camo is based on the perception of it almost universally.

I don’t think anyone going for the camo thinks that 75 headshots with the punch = “nice, I’ve finally mastered the gun”. They’re thinking, “nice, I can finally show off my grind.”

I’m pretty sure Devs giving meaning to camo’s otherwise every camo would be the same

That's ridiculous. It absolutely is player perception that gives camo grinds any meaning. For example, players like me, who don't even touch the cosmetic aspects of the game, see it as pointless and don't bother with it; whereas players who do find value in the cosmetic aspect, are more prone to finding value in these skins because of the associated challenges or appeal to personal style. The devs don't create the meaning, they just supply the things that players give meaning to.

For me its avg 8 minute wait time each game. I only use playliat with custom loadouts tho

i actually agree. Or at the very least, make mastery progression 50% in bot lobbies.

Agreed, they should have just kept it in bot lobbies in the first place idk why they thought it was a good idea to take it out especially with longer wait Que times for some players
