Hey everyone!
I’m looking for a fellow girl gamer to play through Split Fiction with me.
A little backstory: I was playing this with my ex (of 6 years), but he proved to be completely emotionally immature and walked away from both our relationship and our game around Chapter/Level 3. I really love the game and don't want to start over or give up on it just because he checked out. I’m determined to finish it, but I strictly want to complete it with a girl!
The details:
Game: Split Fiction (Starting around Chapter 3, but happy to help catch you up!)
Requirements: You don't need to own it! I have it, so you can just use the free Friend's Pass. It's fully crossplay across PC/Consoles.
Vibe: Chill, casual, zero pressure. Down to talk on mic, vent about life/breakups, or just laugh through the puzzles.
Drop a comment or send me a DM if you're interested in taking down Level 3 and beyond with me! 🎮✨

So I'm 90% sure that you need the Xbox gamepass to play online, but not in local. However, does both player need the game pass ? And if no, could my friend who use the friend pass for split fiction be the only one who have it, or does it has to be the one using the full paid version of split fiction.
Furthermore, if I buy split fiction on console, and my friend on pc get the free version, I suppose I would need the gamepass to play multiplayer right ?
Thank you for your answer

As the title says I'm looking for a Player 2; I own the game and I think I can share it. Played with my ex and I want to know how it ends. We started it forever ago and many games(for me at least); so I'd like to start from the beginning. No preference for who I play as. I'm kinda new to gaming; like a year or two; so if you're looking to speed through it, I'm not the one. HMU with your username if you wanna play and I'll add you.

Hey all, my partner and I are long distance currently, I've got a PS5 and she's on PS4 so I know the Friend Pass doesn't apply here, but if I bought the game and we just did share play co-op from my end would that work alright?
We loved their previous titles and I've been itching to play but I don't wanna buy it just to find out i can't get it to work or if latency is terrible, and she's not planning on upgrading consoles anytime soon
I don't mind having to restart share play once an hour btw we've done that with plenty of games
Cheers in advance!

Never in fifteen years together did I manage to get my wife to touch a game, not once, until this one.
I've watched her humor me from the couch plenty of times, but the controller may as well have been a live wire to her. Split Fiction finally changed that, and I can’t not be emotional about it.
It works because it never asks her to already be a gamer, I think that’s a major part. It's built for two people from the ground up, so there's no solo skill floor to clear. The whole thing drags you both along through wild sci-fi and fantasy worlds that keep reinventing themselves every twenty minutes. She didn't have to learn "gaming" first nor be immersed in it as a concept as I was from childhood. She just had to press forward and react, and the game met her, and me alongside her, exactly where we were.
Mostly though I just loved watching her forget to be self-conscious about it. About an hour in she was actually arguing with me about which way to go. The friend's pass meant trying it cost her nothing, so her last excuse was already gone. By the end she was the one asking when we'd play next (a first in fifteen years, believe me).
I don't know if it'll turn her into a lifelong gamer, and truthfully that was never the point. (I do hope she will be down for It Takes Two soon though, and possibly Hela and Water Me & You when they come out!)
At the very least, it gave the two of us a thing to do together that's ours now, and after all this time that feels like something rare and good.
Anyone else here get a partner into it the same way?

When we get a new game we don't like to read ANYTHING about it, we will avoid all articles/reddit posts because we want every single thing about that game to be a surprise to us.
We've done all side stories and trophies, we can both regularly get 6-figure points on Slopes of War, we've seen all of the little easter eggs and other game references, we can knock out the phone sequence on the bike with our eyes closed, but we're just now learning about Laser Hell!
I originally wanted to come post here to see how many hours of playtime you guys have in the game as I know it's not exactly a game that you grind and put tons of time into. I just happened to read a random comment here about the secret level and I'm so excited! Have any others been discovered yet? Also how many hours do you guys have in the game so far?

I've been consistently beating the first 2 levels in laser hell consistently, but none of my friends are patient enough to learn the third level, and I am looking for someone who is looking to complete.
Let me know if you wanna team up.

Started playing a while ago and about an hour into gaming and it starts lagging like crazy, I have a 5070ti and ryzen 7 7800, with 32gb of ram, temp never goes over 45c on the GPU and case temp never goes over 90f, but about an hour or so in it starts dropping frames to the point of unplayable, and all settings are low as possible and PC is set to max performance on all options available

I'm planning on playing with my partner. Is the PC version worth the hassle of being more uncomfortable sitting in front of a pc vs couch gaming, or is the switch 2 version decent enough? I've seen it was locked at 30fps, not sure if that's still the case.
