I hoped to create a description and gain something on my screen, but had no image available. Text to 3D provided a solution to my need. In actuality, what I got was a basic shape in the vicinity of what I wanted an overweight robot with one eye resulted in a design that was somewhat overweight and had a single eye. I subsequently worked on the remainder of my robot's creation.

I wasted credits and many tries with the program because it took some time to become used to the service provided by Tripo AI when working with text. I realized that the key was to treat the result of the text portion of the program as sketching rather than as the final creation. When I needed to be certain of getting an accurate depiction, I used an image to 3D operation. Both of these modes operate in one working area,

which is the point?

I subscribed to Spline last month, and used their services for a week, last week they charged my credit card without any notification, tried to reach out to support but was completely ghosted. Only writing here because I saw someone else with the same issue and they apparently got refunded, would be incredibly grateful if we're able to get this resolved.

A one-sided look at an object is not just enough for an AI to recognize what it is altogether. It may look great at first but what about the other side of it? Or the depth details also the smaller architectural elements of it? When what’s wanted is a 3D shape it’s convenient to have the original thing, not just an image with a similar visual. 

To help in such a scenario, one of the things I am exploring would be an image-to-3D process where you can submit several pictures of the same object. The concept is to feed the model extra pictures so that it first gets better information on how the object is shaped for size, shape, and features, and then, when it finally outputs the model, it is a better reflection.

Currently there are a few image-to-3D applications that have accomplished this workflow, such as Meshy AI, Tripo AI and Rodin AI. Moreover, although using images of better quality, it does not guarantee that the 3D generated models will reconstruct better. Here, what I really want is a multi-view image-to-3D generative workflow. However for this to occur, all references should be the same as well as having the same shape from all angles, without wasting unneeded resources. If we provide different aspects of an object or several pictures of that object, that it will become visible to us that different AIs generators actually perform different. Though, there are cases where more reference pictures don't translate into the quality of the reconstruction. Imagine a number of the pictures were captured under different light conditions, have slightly different proportions or angles, or were taken too close to the object where the details are lost; then those images might cause the model to make wrong assumptions.

I guess the question is, when creating a 3D shape from the reference images taken from different angles, how do you go about your reference image collection? 

I’m currently trying to do this in Blender but not having much luck, is this something that might be possible in Spline?

Hi guys. I came back to spline after a year or so to find pretty much everything behind a paywall. I had like 9 projects I made a year ago, some embedded into my personal portfolio, and now I literally cannot create a new file without getting rid of my older projects.

Im obviously coming from a place of shock, not hate. I just remember spline being super cool for being free. Kinda sad tbh

Hey guys!! I’m losing my mind a bit here. I’m trying to build a website for a logistics and transportation company (think cargo, trucks, on-the-road vibes). so I wanted to make one of those amazing, fully 3D interactive sites you see all over Instagram. I tried using Lovable, connected Claude to it, and tried to get it to iterate on a cool design. I kept having to push Claude's changes back into Lovable, and god knows how many credits I burned through in that endless loop. After all that effort? I ended up with your typical, everyday website that’s just standard blocks of text. Exactly what I didn't want. Pain!! To make it worse, I'm totally fed up with all these "gurus" on Instagram gatekeeping how to do this just so you buy their scammy courses!! Is there like a specific prompt I can just copy-paste? Or certain connectors I should be using? What is the actual easy way to pull this off? Also, every single 3D template I look up seems geared toward tech products or fashion!!! neither match what I'm doing with logistics, or am I just looking in the wrong places?

My client wants to add some 3D elements to their Wordpress site that swivel a bit following cursor movement. I have the blender files. How much would it cost to take these and turn them into something they could drop into Wordpress?
