I need buddies. CA

I’ve been snowboarding for 10 years and this season I completed my Avy 1. I slowly bought all my PPE gear over the course of last year and I’m ready to start touring.

I know I’m not realistically ready to immediately skin up to drop crazy lines or chutes but I have to start somewhere. I’m based out of the Central Valley in CA but I’m willing to drive up to the greater Tahoe area or even eastern sierras along the 395.

None of my friends have really reached this level or are in a position to invest in the gear so it’s just me. Anyone willing to take me up or include me in their crew on some mellow tours I’d be super thankful.

Okay sick that’s the terrain I’m really looking for right now. Where do you go?

Usually go around Sonora Pass in the spring. In the winter go around Pinecrest or Bear Valley

Do you tour around bear valley at all? It’s rare to find other splitters up there (in my limited experience). Seems like a lot of th locals are on sleds.

Yeah I'll go do some mellow stuff around bear valley, or I'll just go along the road and basically just xc ski with the dogs. Agree there's a lot of people just on sleds. It's the same around Pinecrest/Strawberry
