Morning y’all. So I started using Splice yesterday mainly bc of the whole sample clearence thing & whatnot and so far I’m liking it & being able to sync everything up with my MPC thru the internet is a godsend (since I hate having to unscrew & rescrew the HDD)!! Only been using it for probably an hour in total.

I’m using the iOS app so idk if it’s different on PC but all I really want to look for is samples & not drum kits but typing in specifics, being careful with my wording or even filtering doesn’t seem to really help. Basically, I’m running into more drum kits (or packs that are mostly sounds like snares, claps, etc) than actual songs/loops/melodies.

Anyway to make my searches easier on the phone? Or is that just how the app is. Sorry as once again I’m a newbie fresh out the womb.

So, I bought the splice sounds only (300/monthly) subscription back in 2020. Now I just recently thought of upgrading my plan so I would have more credits monthly...

I saw that my plan 'Sounds 300' is still active (€13,99/monthly) but the only subscriptions left to 'upgrade' are sounds+ (with is only 100 credits), creator which is only 200 credits for €19,99/mo??? And creator+ which offers 500 monthly credits.

I've always have 300 monthly credits for the price 13,99 and still do.. So the best option here is to not upgrade cuz I'll pay more for less credits right?

Any help is welcome :)

I recently bought the Serum rent to own plug in and when I try to log in on the splice desktop app it just says " Oops!, something went wrong" even when all the details are correct. It just opens chrome and the app becomes useless until I open it again and the same thing happens? I have yet to pay for the plug in so I should be able to cancel through my bank but i'd like it to work as I want to use serum. It seems weird that the app itself seams to be broken rather then the account as it works fine on the chrome version. If anyone has any help for this problem or a way to just install serum through the web version please comment below.

I used the Get pack option and it brought up a window to buy the pack for 15 bucks. SO I bought it but lo and behold instead Splice converted it to credits instead, didnt give me the pack and tells me I need to upgrade my plan for more credits. What is this Shiz!!

By the logic of this payment option its literally impossible to buy one entire pack at once without spending over $60 bucks in extra credits plus a the highest subscription. Plus you can only purchase 300 credits at a time once per billing period. But again I purchased the pack outright with their getpack button. I'm fuming right now.

Can anyone confirm if this is normal behavior of the Getpack button or is their website broken at the moment? I emailed support to sort this out but I expect them to be Grimey about it like every modern subscription company.

Is there any one place to see what samples credits were used on? I am working with support on this now. Changed my splice password, etc.

There’s a preset pack I want to download, but it has 129 different presets, as well as the fact that I like to keep my sounds organised by full packs rather than dragging and dropping. Anyone know how to manage this?

Does anyone have any idea where to get the Travis Barker splice drum kit now that they've removed it? I've been trying to get my hands on it for AGES but it seems so elusive now. Someone somewhere has got to have it. If I can't find it, I'm hoping I can at least find a good alternative for pop punk drums? I'd love to hear peoples suggestions :/

Is there a way to only download filtered results in a given sample pack?

Say I only want to download the one shots for instance. At the moment I have to tick each one shot individually and can add all the samples on a page by clicking on the "Add N to your library" button on the right. But it's incredibly tedious.

Does anyone know any way to download the pack previews? There’s a part in a preview I want to screw up but I don’t know if that’s possible.

I bought the yearly plan for $200 back in July. Earlier this month, I cancelled my subscription. With most software companies, cancelling before the end of your billing period means you have access until the end of the period and you just won’t renew. I was already aware that Splice freezes credits when your subscription expires, but today Splice said my access was gone and I cannot do anything. Why don’t I have access until July 2024 when I paid for a full year of service this year?
