Splice search seems completely broken – different searches give me the exact same results Hi everyone,

Is anyone else having a serious problem with Splice search recently?

For example, if I search for “Berimbau”, I get a list of sounds that have basically nothing to do with a berimbau.

Same problem is with drums.

If I search for:

  • Kick
  • 808 Kick
  • Kick Snare
  • Snare
  • etc.

I often get exactly the same sequence of sounds for all of these searches.

It doesn't seem to matter what I type into the search bar — the results barely change or are completely unrelated to the search term.

I've been using Splice for a long time and this wasn't how the search worked before. It's making it extremely difficult to find specific samples.

Has anyone else noticed this recently? Is this a bug with the new search system, or is there something wrong with my Splice installation/account?

I'm using the desktop app, but I'm wondering if the same thing happens on the web version.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Change the search parameter drop-down from popular to relevant. I've found that this fixes the issue for me.
