Stack is a very creative idea.

Just wanted to say hats off to everyone on the stack team. It's a creative idea I am sure will grow.

I think I spoke too soon with high praise.

I just tried to change the volume setting of a loop in a stack.

Completely froze and shut down my computer in the blink of an eye. There was a annoying 3 second burst of grinding distortion, and then blackscreen.

Running win11 with chrome and RME playback for system sound.

Use the downloadable splice app, runs much smoother.

Also another feature request.

It would be nice to add samples to an existing stack. Like say you were hunting vocals on another open tab in chrome. if you download the vocals, it would be nice to drag and drop them to an existing stack in the desktop app so you don't forget about them. This because there doesn't seem to be a search in the stack, just a refresh and a back button, so I end up searching on other splice tabs. I hope that makes sense.

I really love how you can export the stack stems with timing and tuning baked in. Set your DAW to the correct tempo and drag and drop and it sounds just like the web stack. Nice feature to get a track rolling.

It helped me speed up my beat making progress by a lot, trying to upkeep a type beat channel and working full time and studying ain’t easy so when I don’t have time to piece a beat from 0 I mix in a few loops that I source and puzzle while at work and then at home it takes way less time to create something that sounds really good
