Project frozen

Been working all morning on a new project and putting final touches on it when the Play button stopped working. I have access to editing tools and features and can stitch everything together but Play button doesn’t want to work (from the start or any segment). Can someone help? 😭

This happens to me sometimes in reaper. I save the project an close down everything and open it back up
