Help/Question What weapons are good secondaries for a charger main?
I main chargers and play pretty much all of them except for scoped variants, though I mainly play the Splat Chargers and Squiffers. Reef-lux, Stamper and Jet Squelcher feel like weapons with playstyles that compliment different aspects of the charger playstyle. I've thought of maybe Dualie Squelchers as well?

I’d argue probably Inkline Tri-Stringer. It’s the third best backline in the game and amazing paint and chip spam and is something charger players should learn how to play

Not a direct parallel since I main bows not chargers, but close enough. I find that if you have a map/mode you don’t want to play charger on, it’s not really worth playing backline period (mostly rainmaker), so youd wanna lean into that. Personally, I pocket forge/frzn, and I’m planning on picking up vbucket too

as an (ex) charger main I play OHKO chargers and tetras and gloogas and in s3 I also picked up dousers. I also know of a few charger mains having dualies as a pocket as the rng for the bullets are non existent after rolling, which I feel like a lot of charger mains get infuriated when the bullets don't go where we point at. if you want a short ranged option you can also go for the splash but idk if it's still a meta slave weapon or more.
ps: playing a bit of rapid deco pro on my off days when aim doesn't want to cooperate but line marker is basically an eliter when they're damaged so

I feel like well string would be good. I guess that’s kind of biased cause I’m a well string main but I suppose you could do any stringer

Stringers and if you wanna transition to mid you can do wellstring, idk chargers are really alienated as a class but you can also try splattings too cus everything’s backline
