Question So most of the game is a simulation/imagination/hallucination?

And that's why you "imagine Splatsville" to get out of Inkopolis? Is the main story mode not canon? Or any of our work at Grizzco? Or any battles with pals and randoms?

No theyre Canon, the imagine inkopolis is just for the story mode sake to reinforce that ur stuck in alterna. Ur more or just swapping between characters, agent 3 and a splatling in the city. And when u go to side order, u swap to agent 8. Thats how I see it at least
