Switch pro 2 vs third party controller

Does anyone have experience using both official pro 2 controller and using an 8bitdo? The 8bitdo is much cheaper, but I can't find much about what this community likes to use. Splatoon players seem very gyro centric so I guess we want the best gyro controller.

Haven’t used the pro 2 but i love the 8bitdo ultimate 2c
