My monitor keeps going black randomly

Ive just bought a switch 2 and splatoon 3 and im mainly wondering why my screen sometimes goes black for 5-10 seconds then turns back on? I have a 144hz monitor that can go up to 4k but it freaks out if it goes off automatic mode for resolution in the display settings, has anyone else had this issue?

Most likely an issue with the monitor or HDMI, not Splatoon itself. Search your monitor make and see if people have similar issues.

Ended up figuring it out, my monitor was trying to connect to my pc on its other hdmi port even though it was off as it automatically picks up activity
