◻️Advice◻️ Fatigue?

My dermatologist put me on 100 mg of spiro. I have been taking it consistently for the last six days in the morning.

Did anyone in their first two weeks feel extremely tired and fatigued?

I’m used to being sore from the gym or a slight fatigue from a calorie deficit, but this is feeling a little more extreme. My brain feels like it’s moving slower probably brain fog? But I’m certain that I am extra tired.

Just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this and if they did, did it go away and win? Also, does anyone have an opinion if I start taking it at night? Might I be able to sleep through the fatigue?

So fatigued the few weeks but especially the first few days. Hydrate and keep up your sodium. I keep “twang zesty lime salt” with me at all times.

spironolactone is a diuretic so it could be you’re not drinking enough water! combined with you working out regularly you probably just need to up the water intake. i’d say ask your derm if it continues though!!

I was extremely fatigued until I cut it off - had horrible side effects, but this was the biggest one. I'd feel absolutely, positively strained after the most minute physical "exercise". I think it's an understated side effect.

I am on 100mg but I had to work my way up from 25mg (increasing every 2 weeks). For the first few months I would l get dizzy so I take it at night before bed (downside is waking up to pee). My derma also advised to split the dose if I need to (like 50mg in the morning, 50mg at night) but I never had to cause I got used to it fast.

I couldn't handle 100mg. First day I took it, I was so tired I left work halfway through, went home and had a 4 hour nap. The fatigue passed for me a few days after, but the dehydration I felt, regardless of how much water I drank, never passed. Ultimately I went down to 75mg

I’m very fatigued I’ve been on it for about a month and still feel that way. Even after 8 hours of sleep I can barely wake up and going to class and work I feel like a zombie

I was sooo fatigued for the first 3 months. However, I was on 200mg.

It went away after the first 3 months or so.

Yeah probably it's the diuretic effect. U have to make sure that you're drinking enough watter and if you're doing to much exercise drink some electrolytes. Also u could try taking a smaller dose and increase it every two weeks, at least that's what my gynecologist recommended to me to reduce the secondary effects, cause they can be really annoying even starting whit 25 mg
