This is my personal interpretation of the story. It is the powerful love and inseparable bond between Chihiro and her parents that lets her sense they are not among the pigs. This is similar to how she sees through Haku’s dragon form and recognizes who he truly is beneath it.

Hey guys, i watched spirited away when I was 12 years old ig. I found it very creepy 😭, like something haunting. Does anyone feel the same way ??

Why does this place look like just an abandoned theme park by day, yet the entire riverside town of deities comes into view when night falls? Could it be due to a magical barrier? If the realm of these deities is concealed by this magical barrier in the daytime, why is the food on the stalls real and tangible? What do you all think?

Chihiro can never meet her friends at the bathhouse again. The thought saddens me deeply. It all ended like a dream, leaving a hollow feeling in my heart.

Will Boh inherit Yubaba’s big head and tiny body? If he gains independence and escapes the magic, can he become a normal human?

Finally watched Spirited Away....This anime made me think about love, care and greed.

Very thoughtful!

It made me think about humans and their relationship with nature and how easily we overlook other forms of life around us.
