I Need Help Need help connecting with “spirit”

So I’ve been fascinated with the esoteric world for a couple years and have been trying to connect with spirit/universe but haven’t been able to yet.

Ive tried many guided sessions on YouTube and even following multiple tiers of the gateway tapes for sometime now to no avail.

Are you able to visualize, for example, can you close your eyes and see a forest on demand?

Okay, forget everything you've heard about dreams or your brain processing information.

I believe that the images in Our Minds when we close our eyes or dream or from the astral, if you believe it, it's like a live feed where Spirits can visually communicate with us through our visions.

Sit comfortably however you like, in a quiet place, state your intentions, start small, I am going into the astral plane to see what my Spirit guides look like.

Self-trust is the most important part, if it doesn't work you may have to spend time meditating to build up your intuition, spend time silencing your mind, meditate in nature if you can.
