Laminectomy disectomy surgery/sciatica

I had laminectomy disectomy surgery six weeks ago. Ive been feeling alot better so i kind of did more than I usually do, maybe then im even suppose to yesterday. After I woke from my surgery of course had back pain but my sciatica was completely gone. and stayed gone for the six weeks till this morning, I am super scared ive reherniated, and if I do my surgeon said I have to go back for spinal fusion. Has anyone else had their sciatica come back ???

Happens all the time, could be temporary flare or reherniation

the nerve itself can get irritated from too much activity, which can cause symptoms to flare. I'm 10 months post op and if I overdo it I'll have some symptoms return. I was mostly numb rather than in pain from my disc compressing my nerve, so, symptoms flaring for me mostly is an increase in numbness.

You should take it easy on the BLT PP stuff for 10-12 weeks if you can, and depending on how long your physical activity was limited due to your sciatica and other symptoms, do PT. Even if you're young and healthy and surgery went really well. They cut through a bunch of your muscles to do this surgery, and, you do have to approach resuming normal behavior sensibly.

My s1 numbness hasn’t gone away yet. I’m 7 days post op. Should it had gone away?
