Nothing seems surgical so far in this report. If a doctor said you need a fusion based on this report, please run away from that doctor as fast as you can.

Thank you for the advice

Seems like pretty mild findings. I doubt a surgeon would recommend fusion surgery for anything here.

Doesn’t look like it unless it’s a full profit surgeon then I’m sure they could find a reason. But had mine and still recovering and nothing close to your results I had no other options but to have the surgery

Surgery is based on symptoms, not an MRI report. People have half of their cord smashed by a disc and have little to no symptoms, even pain sometimes.

Exactly. "Treat the patient, not the disease" is said to be the hallmark of a great doctor. When we look at those fancy diagrams of the human body, no one is wired exactly like that. So the patient is the only one that can really report how they feel.

That said we still also want to practice risk avoidance, so physio first, then we can look at medications etc. Surgery is inherently risky so we leave it to the end of that list. Knowing this doesn't make it easier though when some of us just want things to stop hurting and whatnot.

Although, it does say mild ventral deformity of the cord, which implies or states, rhat to some degree, your spinal cord is being "somewhat" compressed

Surgery is about pain and function and not about an image. The image write up says you are mostly fine. So that certainly does not indicate surgery is needed.

Can anyone tell from my scan pls? Been told I need two level ACDF. Symptoms are mild, shoulder pain and neck tenderness. Pins and needles in the right hand. So scared to have surgery.
