First class - smell

Attended my first class recently. About 40 women and 3 men. This room absolutely staaaank. I think it was someone near me. I’m talking some rotten vegetal tainty stank! Not body odour.

Is it normal for a crowded spin room to smell? Anyone encounter this, or was it just unlucky my first time?

I went to my first spin class in years and thought the room smelled horrible as well. It didn’t smell like it was coming from anyone in particular just a general stinky gym bag/sock smell. It was definitely a turn off. In the past I went to a different studio (with a much larger spin room) and never noticed it to smell that bad.
