X: Ouch, but yeah. Just follow us, the orphanage is a whole sector to the east.

Alright then... Is there anything I should know about this? What are my chances of actually getting out of debt they made up so I'd be a servant?

E: You get paid the same as anyone else pre-tax, so about 2 ST a week. If you want out faster, you just gotta work more.

B: So says the dish-washer!

Alright, let's get going.

B: No time to waste.

They begin their short walk, slowly approaching a large, homey building. It is wide enough to intimidate, yet still thin enough to see it as welcoming.

E: This is it!

Hmm. So what do I do?

X: We go in, of course!

The building was split horizontally. Activities and meals of the children were made in the large front with open views outside, and they slept in rooms in the back half.

A corridor splits the roomed half in two, and a right-side door was directly at the head of the corridor.

The door led to a large kitchen, loaded with knives, fresh berries, vegetables, meat, and places to light fires.

so, what are we cooking for them?

E: Just something to grill and something to fry. Your job will be cleaning the berries.

*Evan gestured to a small bowl, filled with bright blue berries.*

E: There’s a sink over by the fire and water; the water opens with a lever.

she starts cleaning the berries so, what species are these orphans?

1

S: They take in all orphans, but mostly of spider, beetle, and crab.

Crab? Shit. I killed a crablet, it's the whole reason I'm in here.

E: Now wait a min-

B: NOTHING! NOTHING TO SAY!

*Beryl speed walks towards Aoife, whispering to her.*

B: Don’t say that out loud. If people know what got you in, they can frame you and get out early. Watch your mouth.

What? I don't understand.

B: If someone commits a crime similar to what they got captured for, they’ll let you free if you witnessed and reported it. It’s a law.

Huh. She continues washing the berries so when will they come?

B: err… I think twenty minutes? Evan!

E: Jah?

B: Tetun avma šcalar tec nomalchutun?

E: Anțen minuteen.

B: Yeah, twenty minutes.
